The Challenge
Savanna's legacy platform was built on top of a bloated monolithic architecture that struggled with peak traffic. Mobile users experienced load times of 8+ seconds, leading to a 70% cart abandonment rate during major sales events.
Our Approach
We didn't just skin a new UI. We re-engineered the entire data flow. By implementing a headless architecture, we separated the high-traffic storefront from the heavy backend operations. We used Next.js's Incremental Static Regeneration to serve static pages for the entire 50,000+ SKU catalog, updating only the price and stock levels dynamically. This reduced server load by 80% while providing an instantaneous feel for the end user.
